Rashida O. Jourdain is an Anointed Speaker, Certified Coach, Mentor, Writer, Actor and Encourager. She is the creator of Who Shall Encourage the Encourager? an international empowerment ministry and powerful spoken word that spreads hope, healing and encouragement to people facing adversity.   

Rashida is the President of Jourdain Group LLC, a cutting edge speaking, coaching, training & consulting firm that equips individuals, businesses, entrepreneurs and athletes in the areas of: personal growth, leadership development, financial investment literacy, employee performance, relationship management, work-life balance, athletic success principles, mental breakthroughs and spiritual & emotional health.    

Rashida is also the Founder of Joy Multiplied Inc., a faith based nonprofit organization that provides empowerment classes, grief support services, and mentorship to girls ages 12-21 who are at-risk, underserved, underprivileged, uninformed or unprepared for the realities of entering adulthood. Her mentorship program TREASURE, helps young women: build healthy self-esteem, self-image, grow in their faith with God, identify purpose & calling, develop healthy relationships & friendships, identify and maintain physical, emotional & mental health.

Rashida holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pre-Medicine Psychology from the University of Illinois. She has over 25 years of corporate experience in roles including: HR, employee relations, corporate training, sales and customer service. Rashida has equipped thousands of leaders, coaches, business owners and personal clients, nationally & internationally.

She graduated from Truthful Acting Studios in Orlando, Florida and studied under the Sanford Meisner Master Intensive Program. Rashida’s work has been featured in commercials, print ads, corporate industrials & small film projects.

Rashida was born & raised on the Westside of Chicago. She graduated as the First Black Senior Class President of New Trier Township High School in Winnetka, Illinois at age 17. Her graduation speech entitled “Never Ever Quit” was delivered to an audience of 4000. 

When asked in an interview how her diverse upbringing prepared her for purpose, Rashida stated “I’m acquainted with both poverty & wealth; deprivation & privilege; limited options and limitless opportunities. This dichotomy of my cultural and socio-economic upbringing were the seeds that God would later use to introduce me to His plan for my life; one that embodies love and compassion for the lost and broken; from the poor house to the White House.”

Rashida is authentic, transparent, humorous & engaging. She teaches wisdom & practical life lessons based on her own personal & painful experiences, including failure, disappointment, bankruptcy, church hurt, death, grief and the tragic losses of her brother & sister in 2017 & 2018.

As a Christian and prayer warrior, Rashida has an anointing to teach and preach the Word of God. She openly shares her faith in Jesus Christ and her testimony to encourage others. She believes that salvation through Christ and healing, joy and peace in our hearts, minds and homes are available to all who put their trust in Him.

Rashida lives in Dallas, Texas with her husband Yonel and their two sons Jonathan and Christopher.
